Delivering a use case
Identifying an initial use case is critical. Otherwise, any engagement is simply too abstract and that impacts value. But it is also important to recognise that Entopy allows for use cases to be expanded and new use cases identified and introduced.
Important steps:
Identification of key stakeholders: Understanding which teams and which stakeholders within those teams are relevant to a use case is critical. From the senior strategic level to the operational user level, it is critical to map the stakeholder’s group and understand their need and focus. During the discovery phase, Entopy will work closely with customer teams to establish this.
Data mapping: During the discovery phase, Entopy will work closely with customer teams to build a data map (or high-level ontological model) which will form the basis for the use case deployment. It is important to recognise that the Entopy platform allows for new data to be added retrospectively in the form of new entities, attributes, and relationships which de-risks this exercise, but the essential step is ensuring the initial data model is sufficient to deliver initial value.
Evaluation of key systems: Entopy will then look to identify and evaluate business systems in the round with global data sources and Entopy’s pre-integrated systems. This scoping exercise evaluates all aspects to support system and data integration and identifies any risks early on.
Engagement with stakeholders: Critical engagement with identified key stakeholders ensures cross-stakeholder buy-in to support the delivery of the use case. This could be internal or external teams and Entopy personnel support all engagement and explanation.
Deployment: Once the initial scoping exercises have been completed, the Entopy team will proceed to the deployment of its platform. This will include all system integration as well as the mobilisation of use case specific applications and the provision of the digital twin API swagger.
Continued evaluation and growth: Moving beyond deployment into the growth phase is a critical step. Feedback from users as well as business impact is captured and used to enhance and develop the software to maximise impact and business value.
